1. Product Brief Introduction

The KYN1-40.5(Z) type armored removable AC metal-clad switchgear (hereinafter referred to as switchgear) is an indoor switchgear assembly with three-phase AC 50Hz and rated voltage of 40.5kV. It is used for receiving and distributing electric energy in power plants and industrial and mining enterprises, and plays the roles of control, protection and monitoring of power circuits. It can also be used in places requiring frequent operation.

The switchgear complies with the standards of GB/T11022-1999, GB3906-1991 and DL404-1997.

2. Model Meaning & Explanation

The coding of the product model contains the core structural characteristics and parameter information of the switchgear. The specific meaning of each part of the model is as follows:

  • K: Metal-clad type
  • Y: Removable type
  • N: Indoor type
  • 1: Rated serial number
  • 40.5: Rated voltage (kV)
  • (Z): Vacuum circuit breaker

3. Operating Conditions

  • Ambient air temperature: maximum +40℃, minimum -15℃;
  • Relative humidity: average monthly relative humidity ≤ 95%, average daily relative humidity ≤ 90%;
  • Average monthly water vapor pressure ≤ 2.2kPa; average daily water vapor pressure ≤ 1.8kPa;
  • Altitude: below 1000m;
  • Seismic intensity: not exceeding 8 degrees;
  • Ambient air shall be free from obvious pollution such as corrosive or flammable gases, water vapor, etc.;
  • No explosive hazard places;
  • When used under conditions beyond the normal conditions specified in GB3906, it shall be negotiated with the manufacturer by the user.

4. Structural Characteristics

  • The cabinet structure adopts an assembled type, and the circuit breaker adopts a handcart floor type structure;
  • The cabinet is equipped with a new type of composite insulation vacuum circuit breaker, which has the characteristics of good interchangeability and simple maintenance;
  • The handcart frame is equipped with a lead screw propulsion mechanism, which can easily move the handcart and prevent damage to the propulsion mechanism caused by misoperation;
  • All operations can be carried out when the door is closed;
  • There is a forced mechanical interlocking mode between the main switch, handcart and switchgear door to meet the "five-proof" function;
  • The quick-opening type bus room can connect multiple bus bars;
  • The quick grounding switch is used for grounding of incoming and outgoing circuits;
  • The protection grade of the outer shell is IP3X, and the protection grade is IP2X when the handcart room door is open;
  • The product complies with GB3906-1991, DL404-1997 and refers to the IEC-298 standard.

9. Installation of Switchgear
