1. Product Brief Introduction
The YBD-12/0.4 series fully underground box-type substation (referred to as underground box-type substation for short) is developed on the basis of in-depth research and research on modern urban construction and management. The substation has a compact overall structure, covers a small area, even no occupation of land, and has excellent landscaping effect, which effectively solves the contradictions of urban land tension and urban management, and is unified with the surrounding environment of the product, highly praised by experts and users. The underground box-type substation means that the complete set of equipment of the box-type substation is all installed in a fully sealed box body, and the whole body is buried below the ground level. It has the same internal equipment as the conventional above-ground box-type substation, which steps down the 10kV input voltage to 400/220V distribution voltage through the transformer, and then distributes it to the load points. It can be used in ring network power distribution systems, and also as a substation for radial terminal power supply. This fully underground type, also known as underground substation, has anti-corrosion and pressure resistance capabilities for its box body and is airtight.

2. Operating Conditions
- Altitude: The altitude shall not exceed 2000m;
- Ambient temperature: Maximum temperature +40℃, minimum temperature -30℃;
- Relative humidity: At 25℃, the air relative humidity shall not exceed 95%, and the monthly average shall not exceed 90%;
- Installation environment: The installation environment shall be free of obvious pollution, flammable, explosive, corrosive gases and dust. There shall be no violent vibration and impact at the installation site, and it shall not be placed in low-lying places;
- Special service conditions: Other service conditions except the above normal service conditions shall comply with the provisions of GB1094.1, GB/T11022, GB/T14048.1 and GB7251.1.
3. Structural Characteristics
The complete set of equipment of the fully underground prefabricated substation is all installed in a fully sealed box body, which is divided into high-voltage switch room, transformer room and low-voltage switch room. Each room is equipped with lighting devices, and is equipped with interlocking switches and forced ventilation and temperature control, heaters and other equipment.
All the above equipment is set below the ground level, and its internal equipment is the same as that of the conventional above-ground prefabricated substation. The 10kV input voltage is stepped down to 400/220V distribution voltage through the transformer, and then distributed to the load points. The key technology of this fully underground prefabricated substation is the airtightness, anti-corrosion and pressure resistance of the box body, specifically:
- The box body must be able to withstand underground immersion for 50 years without any leakage;
- It must withstand the extrusion and penetration of soil and underground water to keep the body intact;
- All sealing points such as equipment access, personnel entrance and exit, and cable entrance must be able to withstand the seepage pressure of underground water, without water seepage inside, and keep the interior of the box body dry without moisture.
The YBD-12 fully underground prefabricated substation meets the above basic requirements, and it mainly has three major functions:
- One end of the box body is equipped with two water receiving tanks. On rainy days, rainwater can be quickly discharged into the sewer through the water receiving tanks without entering the interior of the prefabricated substation;
- The water receiving tank is used for rainwater drainage on rainy days, and it is also the air inlet for internal ventilation and circulation of the box body. The air enters the box body from the air inlet to form exchange, which can keep the temperature inside the box body balanced and reduce the temperature rise of the transformer;
- Once floods occur once in 50 years or a hundred years, and underground water causes sewer backflow and the water receiving tank cannot drain water, the ventilation device will automatically close to isolate the inside and outside of the box body without affecting the equipment, so that the prefabricated substation can continue to operate.
4. Performance Advantages
At present, some urban substations in our country are mostly set in the basements of high-rise buildings. Once flooded, they are basically submerged, and most of the equipment is damaged and useless after water retreat. If the fully underground prefabricated substation is used as the power distribution device, the equipment can be avoided from being flooded. The fully underground prefabricated substation also has the following more advantages:
- It can greatly save land, no need for ground civil construction, and save construction investment;
- There are no obstacles on the ground, no impact on the environment, and no impact on people's vision and landscape;
- The fully underground type installed in lawns and green belts can also be equipped with some decorative ornaments on the ground, such as sculptures, rockeries, etc.; if it needs to be installed in large squares, roads and other places, and it is required that no obstacles (including ventilation ducts) protrude from the ground, the extended prefabricated substation can be selected. The ventilation outlets of this type of prefabricated substation can not protrude from the ground level;
- The power distribution equipment of the fully underground prefabricated substation is set underground, which is safe and reliable;
- The ground is not affected by the noise of the transformer;
- Due to the cool underground environment, the temperature rise of the transformer during operation is relatively stable;
- The internal space of the fully underground prefabricated substation is relatively wide, and the maintenance operation will not interfere with the ground, and will not hinder the surrounding environment.
